Four Teams Secure Semifinal Spots in Sheesha – Unity Futsal Challenge 2026

The group stage of the Sheesha – Unity Futsal Challenge 2026 concluded with high intensity and exciting performances, as four teams emerged to secure their places in the semifinals. Friends Club, FC Xephier, Mylo City Sports Club, and Hithadhoo Port LTD advanced after a series of competitive matches at the Addu Stadium Futsal Pitch.

Friends Club showcased consistency and composure throughout the group stage, delivering strong performances in key fixtures. Their ability to control matches and capitalize on scoring opportunities saw them finish among the top contenders, highlighted by dominant wins and a crucial victory over FC Xephier.

FC Xephier also impressed with their attacking strength, registering convincing wins including a commanding performance against Addu City Police Team. Despite a narrow defeat to Friends Club, their overall performance ensured qualification for the knockout stage.

In Group B, Mylo City Sports Club emerged as one of the standout teams of the tournament. With emphatic victories, including high-scoring wins against Hithadhoo Port LTD and ST Sports, they demonstrated exceptional attacking depth and tactical discipline. Their consistency made them strong favorites heading into the semifinals.

Hithadhoo Port LTD secured their place with a series of determined performances, bouncing back strongly after early setbacks. Their convincing victory over Maradhoo United and overall resilience ensured progression to the final four.

 

As the tournament moved into the semifinals, anticipation built around these four teams, each bringing unique strengths and momentum. With strong attacking displays, disciplined defending, and standout individual performances throughout the group stage, the stage was set for two thrilling semifinal encounters in the Sheesha – Unity Futsal Challenge 2026.
