Unity Foundation Launches Basic Football Referee Course in Addu City

The Unity Foundation is set to kick off its Basic Football Referee Course on the 1st of October 2024, aimed at young players eager to step into the world of refereeing. This initiative is designed to cultivate new talent in football officiating, offering an invaluable opportunity for youth in Addu City to gain the necessary skills and knowledge to become qualified referees.

 

This course, which takes 30 slots for freshers and additional 10 slots for refreshers, will be conducted by some of the best trainers in the nation. These experts bring a wealth of experience and expertise to the program, ensuring participants receive top-tier training. The curriculum is tailored to cover all fundamental aspects of refereeing, from understanding the rules of the game to managing on-field scenarios effectively.

 

"Refereeing is a crucial part of football, and we're excited to offer this course to young players who have an interest in pursuing this path," said the Vice Chairperson of the Unity Foundation. "We believe this program will not only enhance their understanding of the game but also contribute to the overall development of football in the Maldives."
